About villa fiorentino

Hospitality has been the Fiorentino family’s way of life.

Villa Fiorentino: Where Positano's Heart Beats. For Generations.

In a world of anonymous hotels, our story—woven into the soul of Positano for generations—is our foundation. We are a living chapter of its history. Here, independence is our legacy, and genuine hospitality can never be constrained by the standard of hotel chains.

The Resort with a Family Soul

Be our guest, not a room number. Our family villa, lovingly enhanced over the decades by Vito and his wife Giuseppina, a fashion designer, embodies the ideal of a resort with a family soul: an exclusive sanctuary where the authentic character of the villa seamlessly blends with curated elegance and the amenities of a modern resort. From intimate suites to spacious apartments, every accommodation is crafted for a unique experience. From the rooftop, our infinity pools blend with the horizon, in a wellness area and bar designed to immerse you in the breathtaking spectacle of Positano. Choosing Villa Fiorentino means becoming part of our ongoing story, not just booking a stay.
About

Doctor Vito: A Lifetime of Service, Celebrating 60 Years in Medicine

Following in the footsteps of a giant was not easy, but Dr. Vito, a Family General Practitioner, not only picked up the baton but amplified his father's legacy. This year, as we commemorate the 60th anniversary of his graduation, we celebrate a lifetime dedicated to healing.

Like his father, his mission knew no schedule: he would set out at any hour, on foot or, more often, at the wheel of his legendary red Fiat 500, launched at full speed along Positano's steep curves, a scarlet flash racing to save a life. A renowned cardiologist and Senator of the Order of Doctors, he was the community's guardian angel in an era without hospitals, saving countless lives.

His heart always remained in Positano: he trained the Red Cross volunteers, laying the groundwork for the 24/7 medical outpost that serves the community today. He left us in April 2025, but his lesson of love and service, and the vision of that little red 500 speeding by, remain indelible in every street of this town he loved so much. His Gold Medal forever commemorates a life spent not only curing, but building a rescue system for his people.

Our Origins: Don Domenico, The Pioneer of Unshakable Strength

Dr. Domenico Fiorentino, "Don Domenico" to all, was not just Positano's first doctor. He was a pioneer, a survivor, an everyday hero. A Medical Captain during the war, he was deported. His determination to return to his people was so great that he managed to escape from the train at the border and, on foot, it took him three months to reach Positano.

A journey of hope. But his homecoming held tragedy: he found his wife and parents had tragically passed away. With incredible strength of spirit, he faced that immense grief and raised his children alone, dedicating every breath to the community that awaited him. A student of the famous Saint Giuseppe Moscati, in an era when Positano was just a fishing village, he was the only lifeline.

First on foot or by mule, then unmistakable on his Vespa, he reached his patients day and night. And people knew they could knock on his door, at his in-home practice, at any hour. The large illuminated cross he had placed on the mountain in 1978 is not just a symbol, but the seal of that promise of protection made to all of Positano—the very same promise that drove him on that three-month journey.

The New Generation and the Tradition of Care

Today, the medical legacy of the Fiorentino family lives on through Dr. Isabella, Vito's daughter, a physician and nutritionist. She embodies the family heritage by specializing in the Mediterranean Diet, transforming local food traditions into a science of well-being for the future.

This legacy of passion and beauty is carried forward by Giuseppina, Vito's wife, a luxury fashion designer born and raised in Positano, together with all the children and grandchildren. We are a united family team who, in Vito's name, welcomes every guest not as a client, but as a friend of the family. This is not a chain hotel; this is our home.
